    Baby Boa Setup?

Ok well I have kept Ball Pythons for a while and about a month or so ago I decided to try redtails. I got a hypo 66% het for albino, anery, and stripe. And a Anery het for Albino. Couldnt decide on one, so i got both. I had my tanks set up before and they were identical. 2 heat pads on each, I keep the warm side in between 88-92 and the cool side at 80. The humidity stays in betweeb 54-56%. I also have a large water dish on the cool end. These are 20 longs by the way. I have some of these black plastic hides bought at reptile shows in the tanks. But neither seem to go in them. The hypo is laying next to the hide all the time but never in it. I had a plant hanging by the hide but it wasnt secured well enough so it fell down and he would lay under that till i took it out. The anery on the other stays in his water dish all the time. First thing I thought was mites, but I treated all his stuff with pam and soaked him in warm water and moved to a tub with papper towels. Have not seen any mites at all so he will be moved back to his normal enclosure. Do boas not use their hides very much? Do I need to add more foliage type of this in there? Thanks for the help

I have 3 BCIs and only one uses her hide and she only uses it about half the time.

    Re: Baby Boa Setup?

Mine just tend to lounge around in different places. Sometimes in the hides, sometimes on top of them, sometimes next to them, sometimes on or under the branches. I just make sure they have good temps and humidity and they can pretty much hang out where they want to...
