BeexPastel ?

Now I know you get super pastels from breeding pastelxpastel, So it would make sense to me you would have a chance at killer bees breeding a beexpastel.
However Ive recently read thats not that case that it would require a beexsuper pastel breeding. Can anyone clear this up for me?

a Bee X Super pastel will increase your odds of getting a killer. Actually equally for all, best thing is No normals.
