Make sure to get the equipment before the snake in the future, or at least at the same time. Too long of a delay and you could have a sick snake and an expensive vet visit.
Get yourself an under tank heater because you can't always keep that light on and temps are gunna drop at night, but hopefully not too low. Your snake needs to maintain 85-90 degree spot in the tank 24/7.

It's always good to get everything set up before you actually get the bp, or any animal for the matter. You need to measure the temps before you add the bp to make sure everything is in good shape and around the correct temp.
