Check for little teeth still under the skin..

Maybe an allergic reaction? I'm pretty allergic to (what I believe) is their saliva. If I get bit by even a hatchling, I get pretty red in the area and it really swells and gets irritated; even if there's no blood drawn or even if its not a serious bite. But after a couple of days it goes back down.

Re: My corn snake bit me (what should i do)

I got bit by a burmese....the wounds healed up very quickly and seemed to vanish completely...but then a day or two after they'd vanished, the area started to itch terribly, and little bumps came up in the exact same spots. It might have been bits of teeth working their way out, but I never actually saw anything erupt and come out like a splinter. After a couple days, the itching eased up and the bumps eventually went away. I didn't "do" anything with it except keep my hands clean (the bite was on my hand) and try not to mess with it.

Re: My corn snake bit me (what should i do)

It's either an infection or a few teeth popped off under the skin.

Neosporin on the affected area and waiting is all that needs to be done. If teeth are under there, they will work their way out and they are too tiny for you to dig out yourself. I've dug out corn snake teeth I got from big wild adults, and even those are pretty tough to see in the skin.

To the people making fun of being bit by a hatchling, infections aren't something to scoff at, because if they are ignored then they can become really nasty. Snake mouths aren't the cleanest of places.

Gotta be teeth. Like others have said. It's either teeth or you are allergic to corn snakes. If that's the case and you're allergic, you can send me your snakes and I'll take care of them. I've been bit a number of times and have had no reaction to the bite.
