My new Blood Python

Rescued this guy from a local pet store that has been neglecting to feed their animals they way they should. More of a youtube user myself but I'm getting on here a little more frequently so I figured I'd start a thread.

    Re: My new Blood Python

dude that crazy broken pattern on his back is totally different than most bloods that Ive seen before... Nice find, really cool looking snake, and I congratulate you on your good deed, rescuing that python from the pet store was the right thing to do, it may not be the easiest thing to rehabilitate snakes that have been abused by idiots, but props to you man...

That blood is gonna be amazing looking when it matures, make sure to post us some more pics and keep us updated on how its doin, thanks man!

    Re: My new Blood Python

Thanks alot for the comment. Yeah I been looking at bloods online and recently seeing alot on here but he definately stood out when I saw him at the store. I have experience rehabilitating an undernourished snake so he was a project I was willing to take on. He's already ready taken two rat fuzzys and looking better by the min. Future pics and vids to come.

    Re: My new Blood Python

Cool I will be waiting to check out yer updates, I have to admit I am becoming a big fan of blood pythons, they are big beefy badass buff snakes, mine put the squeeze on his rat the other day and I swear I heard that rats spine snapping like a dry twig!

On a side note, the way that pet store in yer video had those tegus packed together like that was freakin brutal, way to many of those guys together in cages that small, they are gonna cannabalize the hell out of eachother like that, and that dude at the front desk with his thumb up his *** needs to get up and take care of his store full of dead and dying reptiles. I liked yer comment bubbles in the video, somebody needs to hit that dude with a bat and lock him up in a tiny cage with a few dozen starved water monitors and see how he likes being crowded and caged with a load of hungry carnivorous monitor lizards...

Again good job gettin that blood outta that death trap of a pet store...

    Re: My new Blood Python

If I may, The said animal "looks" to be a Borneo short tail or Borneo blood for the average joe..It also IMO looks like it very well could be a cross between a red and borneo..But in fact thats a guess at a glance..In regards to the back bone or spine, Even thick healthy animals will always exhibit such..
Its the nature of the beast and is exhibited in other species as well..

    Re: My new Blood Python

Thanks for the info Tim. you kept me from having to post another thread asking if anyone knows what he was for sure. Coming from your I take that as an educated guess. I was just checking previous posts involving someone purchasing your snakes. Great looking animals you have there and you seem to have plenty of experience with Bloods. Would you happen to know the going price on an albino female? Thinking that's gonna be my next purchase. Thanks.

    Re: My new Blood Python

Hovafl, to answer your question T+ albino female will likely run between 500 700 bucks, T- and we're talking thousands..The snake looks as though its in good shape but its markings has me "inclined" to think its a hybrid/mutt between Brietensteini and Brongasmai..Theres a more blood keepers that hang here maybe they'll step forward with their opinions..But if you like it thats what counts...Right on..

    Re: My new Blood Python

Another thanks to you Tim, you have been very helpful. Originally wasn't looking into blood morphs since I just wanted one for a pet in my collection and this blood was a standout that I had to have. But now after hearing about T+ and T- I see I'll being doing a lot more research and down the line looking to pick up a high quality female for possible future breeding plans. My wife's gonna kill me. ;o)
