wiring flexwatt (sorry I know)
I know the wiring flexwatt has been and will continue to be beat to death. My questions is can you put a electrical fittings on your ends of extension chord? And then screw threw it and into the metal bands on your flexwatt and into your rack to make your electrical connection.

If I understand you correctly, thats more or less what the fittings will do that you can buy for flexwatt; except they do not screw into the rack.
I suppose you could make your own connectors, but if your going through that much trouble why not just solder the wire onto the flexwatt?
Either way just make sure your connections are insulated properly.

Yeah I was just thinking your basic basic electrical connector thats circle in shape. slide a screw threw the middle of it and screw it threw the flexwatt and into the rack.

Gotcha. Because the flexwatt has the plastic coating, you would have to remove the plastic coating to get a good contact patch I think. People have reported that even using the flexwatt connectors (which punch through the metal strip) can give inconsistent results.
By far the best way is to solder directly onto the flexwatt.

I would solder it if I was you. If you melted the plastic off with a soldering iron you could do what you are talking about but if it is not making a good connection it will heat up and start to burn. If you solder the wire on there correctly it will be a good connection and cant get loose and heat up.

Re: wiring flexwatt (sorry I know)
I've gotta say I spend a lot of time wiring flexwatt as well as other wiring such as electric guitars, and I'd say a screw through the flexwatt would not only be a very inconsistent connection but if the screw wears the hole at all to where the screw would move around it would possibly cause an arc.
Soldering, and the actual flexwatt connectors are by far the best ways to go. Tried and true ways. I understand wanting to save money by being innovative, but safety would be the biggest issue.

Re: wiring flexwatt (sorry I know)
I personally as many others solder flexwatt. It gives a better connection for a faster heat up with more even heating.
I have some that are clipped and only barely get to 88F as the soldered ones his 105F. The clips are always getting loose even done with the proper crimper.
I say solder all the way.
