How many vents on a cage

Hi, I was looking at getting one of these cages but in a larger size.
My question is they have two choices of vents.
first is to have a vent in the back and top like this.

The second is to just have it in the back like this

What would be the best choice . This is for my first snake .
I appreciate all your help so I make the right choice.
    Thanks
    Christine

Re: How many vents on a cage

i would think the back vent would be a lil better for keeping air temps up and humidity in. a lot of the air can go right out the top. with the back open some will get out and fresh air can get in, but i dont think it would lose too much. i had a 20gal tank for mine but i got sick of it, tubs are so much better and so much easier. good luck, do ur research before buying
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

I am not a fan of that top vent. I would go with just the back vent. You can put a few more holds in it if you want.

Denfinately a back vent or two side vents are best! Top vent sucks for bps because as mentioned, the humidity and heat goes right out the top! That size is good for a baby bp if that's what you getting!
