Do you mean on his snout? That looks like a little scrape that has scabbed over.

Scale rot usually occurs from dirty conditions and most often is on the belly of the snake.

I don't think it is scale rot, but to me it looks like a bit or something like that? Just watch it.

Re: does my BP have scale rot

Long story short, my Spider had something like that on his head due to too tall of a cage. It wasn't quite as big as that and the cage problem is mostly fixed now, but it really just looks like a scabbed over cut. You can't even tell on my guy now, it went away after two sheds.

If it were mine I would keep the cage clean and put neosporan on it. I'm sure I miss spelled that but yu get my drift.

Re: does my BP have scale rot

Looks more like a rub than a bite to me. The bites I have seen usually aren't so round. Make sure your Neosporin doesn't have painkiller in it. It will probably take a shed or two for it to go away. As long as it doesn't swell up, have puss in it, get real red or look infected, he should heal up fine...

I agree with Vyp....it looks like he rubbed it raw on something and it started to scab. He could have been stressed due to poor husbandry and was trying to get out.
