    I've heard of males breeding at as little as 400 grams and only a year old. As for the females, the bigger the better but 1200 is the smallest I'd want to breed her. But I would say for the most part, 1500 grams is a great weight to start breeding a female. I've got a 1200 gram female, that I may breed late this year or just wait another year. She's probably got the weight but I'd like to see her one year older.
