    Our new little rescue

Hi all...well I am doing my first rescue. A friend of ours got this little snake from someone who couldn't keep it anymore. Not sure if it is a girl or a boy yet so its name is Alexa...(alexandra or alexander). Have to keep up with those royal names....lol....We will see!! I think he/she is just beautiful!!

A Spider as a rescue? That's something not found too often. She/he is beautiful though, I really like it!!

    Re: Our new little rescue

Thanks everyone. She has a little bit of an RI but nothing too bad .....I am keeping an eye on it right now. I bumped up the temps at this point to see how it goes. But if it seems to get any worse....we will take her in right away. She also has about 6 little scabs on her back....I am thinking at this point it is a bite from a feeder. Nothing that I don't think will go away with a couple of sheds. I am also keeping an eye on the sides of her head, and back jaw area. Maybe it is just me but it almost seems a little swollen. Not sure...maybe it is just she is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy underweight. My husband doesn't see it ....so it could just be me.

Its sad to see such a young snake with problems like this already. Like I said....we did not even think about getting a spider...we were going to make one....but we did not want to see her die either. I was contacted about the snake ....called my husband.....and he was like...OK...order a herpstat, order some flexwatt...go get a ...blah ...blah ...blah. lol... I love my hubby...lol.
