I've been tagged by both, large adult, and a 2 foot juvenile. They sting about the same. The only difference is the teeth marks are a little further apart.

If your snake is laying with it's head out side the hide, and it doesn't move when you walk by the tank, your snake is sleeping, and I can vouch from personal experince, this is not a good time to reach in and pickup the water bowl. Of course, I would freak out too if I woke up to a giant hand in front of my face...
