Yes I have. Years ago, an Albino Burm. About 4 feet long. Eating a large rat. Coiled around the rat, seemed to have killed it, got it's shoulders into it's mouth and the rat starts kicking. The Burm just continued swallowing the rat. No issues.

I have a gopher cross bull snake and she really loves her food so much that she starts to eat sometimes before its dead. Now if you have a kingsnake then this happens allot.

i see it alot with younger snakes but when my 1200+ gram girl did it i was kind of freaked out. as she was swallowing the rat you can see the rat breathing.
yeah very common for me my black rat does not always kill her prey she will just start to inhale it. never hada problem but it freaky seeing a spazzing rat pup kicking on the way down the neck area. I think it mainly cause she so old now and does not have the endurance to do the prolong constriction it takes..
