using Foil tape to trap humidity
Should the FOIL side of the tape be facing down into the tank, or up away from the tank?

Re: using Foil tape to trap humidity
I don't really think it matters but I always did the shiny side up. ??

Re: using Foil tape to trap humidity
I guess it just depends on what the "foil" is for. If the intention was to retain heat as well as moisture then I would think the foil should be down so it could reflect light and retain heat. Otherwise.... why is it supposed to be foil tape?

Just make sure your snake cannot touch the sticky side. That's the only things to worry about.
I lol'd at your signature.

Re: using Foil tape to trap humidity
I'm going to try foil side down..... I guess I can always remove it if I'm wrong.

Re: using Foil tape to trap humidity
Just tape the top of the screen. That is what you are doing right? You can't change the side the sticky is on and its not the best idea to put tape inside the enclosure, so outside on top of the screen it is!

Re: using Foil tape to trap humidity
I laid foil down, and then taped over the entire top of it...

It's like the poor mans tape foil I suppose.

That is what I do and it works fine. The 4 inch gap should be enough for ventilation.
I would work on getting some different hides though
