    Normal?

I have what I believe to be a normal female, however each time she sheds she becomes more yellow to the point where she is a more true yellow color than her pastel brother. When I first got her she was a normal brown color.
She is from a pastelXmojave cross. I am just curious and would appreciate some feed back and comments on why this maybe happening.

P.S- She is perfectly healthy, kept at all the right temps and humidity and has been checked by a vet because I was worried about the yellow color and her blood work was great. She's 200 grams so she can’t be glowing yet I think she would be to immature for that.
There are pics in my profile but not recent, I will try to post some later.

Are you talking about Xena in your Gallery? She looks like a normal to me. Hercules, your pastel male is your profile picture, right?

    Re: Normal?

Yes Xena is normal she is much more brown in that picture, it's when I first got her, now after about 4 sheds she has progressivly gotten more yellow where the brown used to be and she is very bright, I am trying to post pictures but I am not great with computers . I dont really think she is anything but a normal but I have just never seen a normal become more yellow, If anything they get darker as they age right?

I dont have a pastel to compare my normal to, but yes after every shed she does seem much brighter. Not really yellow like a pastel though.

    Re: Normal?

Yes that’s what is happening with every shed my normal gets more yellow instead of brown its weird I was really just curious if anyone else has had this happen with their normals. I am not complaining it’s a beautiful solid yellow color and she's a great pet, I also imagine that for breeding it may brighten up the babies a bit.

It may be that you just have a lighter normal. Thats why I picked mine. She doesnt keep getting more yellow its like, shes light brown, she sheds and shes more yellow but after the shed it starts to go back to the light brown, and so on after new sheds.
