Re: Need To Get Rid Of This Habit!
I know how you feel with a bad habbit. I chew my fingernails to the point that I have none and they are always so low that my fingers are always in pain. Its terrible and I cant stop no matter what i try!
ANYWAY! haha. I think the gum idea may be a breakthrough! I also recommend you to try it.

Not really, I'm just kinda rubbing my throat on the inside and it's getting irritated and it's hurting my jaw.

Oh man your mom is so mean! Give it back to her LOL
You always get your self in a position to get picked on lol. I love it!
But seriously sorry to hear that, I used to do something similar when I was younger. But not as bad.

LOL I wish I can give it back to her, I don't want this cold/flu
I do get picked on, but I think it's funny
I seem to get sick a lot, I think I have a low immune system from all the crap I eat.

Re: Need To Get Rid Of This Habit!
I do that too, but only AFTER I get a sore throat because it itches the inside of it and makes it feel better.
I think gum would be the most help to you, but that doesn't really work the same muscles so ... I don't know; maybe not. You could try giving yourself negative reinforcement whenever you catch yourself doing it - like forcing yourself to clean a dish or put a quarter in your piggy bank or something like that. Just to become more aware of yourself and when/where you're doing it.

I know what you mean, but I'm doing that in my lower throat like an inch above my collar bone.

Re: Need To Get Rid Of This Habit!
I have to ask, why are you asking a question about a sore throat, developed by a day-long habit, on a ball pythons forum?
