Just got tagged 2 min ago

OK so i adopted a ball from my friend on Wednesday and he had a horrid shed so i figured i would soak him and help him out a little bit, i guess he didn't think that was ok, so he let me know! he took 2 sniffs then latched on, i didn't panic but while i was trying to get him to release(pushing his head gently in the direction of his teeth) i noticed a side from the blood 1 of his little teeth was still in my arm, i could give a crap about my arm but will he be ok? did hurt him bad? does he need med attention? this is my 1st ball in a long time so be take it easy on me & thanks for your advise

First, i don't recommend doing anything to your snake while its biting, you can severely injure your animal.

He will let go, or you can persuade him by holding him under water (they have to breath sometime)

Second, he should be fine, teeth are lost quite frequently by snakes, and some species (more than others) are known to leave teeth in you pretty often, after a hard bite.

My BP's last shed was a bad one as well. (Since then I have changed substrates and now humidity is at an acceptable level.)

I tried the method where you put him in a small tub with a little bit of water and then put the whole tub in the enclosure. It worked pretty good, except there was still a little skin just below his head. He is getting a little bit bigger now, and I had my wife hold the bottom half of him, while I worked on getting the shed off.

I was worried he would tag me, as I could tell he was getting a little irritated. Nope, instead he decided to musk/urate all over my wife. She was not happy! I guess that was his way of telling us he had enough!

And wouldn't you know it? After about 10 mins. in his enclosure he worked the rest of the shed off himself.

    Later,

    George

yeah those teeth break off a lot it seemd I know my black rat always losing them more now than when younger lol.. but she always got more the next time she latchs onto me.
want a pianful bite wait until you realize ther somethingunder the skin 2-3 days after they bit you. man those are the one that hurt the worst. In my case it was infected by thetiem I realized it, so I take a sewing needle and pop it and it drains and then I feel he tooth itself as the skin deflates and spend an hour working it out and I bet it was no bigger than a sewing needle tip itself. but man it was annoying. took 3 weks to heal after that ( stupid mehad to neo around and wit hthe work I was doing had to scrub it clean each night dang dirt and grass clipping.
