I see the point of the original OP. I didn't mean to make you feel unwelcome. In all honestly though, I didn't really think it was a serious question -- I thought you were just trying to stir things up.
Don't be afraid to ask questions --
So no, mice and rats don't lay eggs, and bp's don't eat eggs. It's a good idea just to stick with mice and rats as food items.
And as someone mentioned, if you are using calci-sand as a substrate, that is probably a bad idea. Cypress, aspen, and newspaper are good choices.
