Since that's the case, I agree with you completely; bringing your snake with you for the wow factor, especially to somewhere they can catch something, is at least bordering on irresponsible. And God forbid it should bite anyone, all we need is more negative pressI can understand your defensiveness about it. Snakes can be a touchy subject. The more people who we have responsibly educating people the better.
There is a difference in professionally handling snakes for informational/educational purposes and toting along your snake places to get reactions from people
