Keep them / place them in a sealed plastic bag, fill the sink up with warm water, leave in for 30-45 mins, feed snakes.

Basically, just ensure the rat isn't still cold / semi-frozen and you're all set. Depending on your snakes you may have to at least warm the head up to a regular body temp before offering.

    'least, that's what I do

I personally let mine thaw on a strip of flexwatt for 3-4 hours. Don't use an unregulated heat pad though, make sure its around 90-95*. I use this method for thawing about 10 rodents at a time. if you only need to thaw a couple, warm water in the sink like suggested above might be easier.

    Sure fire way....

Leave em in a ziploc in your snake room for the day.

Set em out when you leave for work, feed em off when you get home

I will usually hit the heads with a blo dryer right before I feed em off though to give them a heat signature to strike at.

    Works for me!

    No dripping wet rodents

No crazy contraptions heating em up

    Easy

I usually take them out the day before and leave them in the fridge. When I am ready to feed them I just warm up the heads under hot water for a few seconds. That way if sometime happens or I forget the rats wont go bad in the fridge.

We feed around 50+ snakes a feeding.
We pull all rats directly from freezer, put them in ziplock like bags, place them in a tub full of hot water for 1 hour, flip the rats, and add more hot water, wait another hour, then feed.

    works great for us.

He forgot how picky I am. Use 2 zip locks due to the first always has a hole. Then re-use the outer next feeding. The small pinky , fuzzy mice/rats don't take much time at all. If you over thaw the food will pop.
    Remember this........ NO MICROWAVES!!

I put in in a freezer ziplock bag and the in a sink with warm water for 1 hour then blast the head with a hairdyer! There is no stupid question! If you don't know something than ask! Better to be safe than sorry!
