    Maybe you can try ditching the heat lamp and get a UTH instead if you continue to have problems. I had a heat lamp years ago, and no matter how much I covered the lid, I still couldn't get the humidity where I wanted it. Since I switched, I have no issues with that anymore. It's even more difficult in the winter to get the humidity up too. It's very dry in the winter inside our houses.
