    1. Why do you have two males together?

    2. Are you sure they are both males?

I've seen 2 male burms go at it, must be a case of mistaken identity.

    Re: Two males locked

Before I knew not to keep ball pythons together I kept 2 males together (did some research and seperated them after several months). Both were young juvies and 100% male (I could pop them and get sperm plugs from them). One day I find them locked up and I'm like

    So it does happen lol

I'd recheck the sex of the snakes to make sure you don't get any surprises though!

    Re: Two males locked

yea I would totally recheck!! There was just a huge thread about this....a breeder that has been in the industry decided to re-check his snakes and low and behold ....like 5 or 6 were not what he thought they were.

    Re: Two males locked

Ha. A friend of mine had a male BP for 10 years, and bought his GF a PROVEN Female from a "breeder" at an expo. Some time later, we caught his "male" laying eggs. They housed them together.

Rare chance that both his BP's were sexed wrong, especially since one was a "proven female breeder" lol

    Re: Two males locked

it's either sexedwrong or what we call "snake rape" which is obviously VERYstressful for the male being dominated.

Why are you co-housing bal pythons?

Why did you not check the sexes of your animals before placing them together?
