    Selling Feeders

Where do you sell your leftover feeders? And for how much?

    Leftovers?

If you have a number of snakes, you can euthanize the extras and feed to the snakes that accept F/T.

If not, you can post an on Craigslist for people in your area that might want the extras. Take a look at some of the F/T feeder businesses for ideas on pricing. The prices for F/T and live are pretty much the same.

    Re: Selling Feeders

If I have leftover, I serve them re-heated

If I produce too much which generally happen during winter/ breeding season time as some animal go off feed, I euthanize the feeders and freeze them and than feed them to my females after they lay and resume feeding (female after laying are generally not picky and will eat F/T even if it is not what they are usually fed.)

If I had to sell them I would use Kijiji.com or place an ad on similar website or try to find local herpers that could need the surplus.

    Re: Selling Feeders

I have a few mediums and large breeders right now Im getting rid of, I realize now that some of them are not needed any longer as my plans have changed. I sell them at a lower flat dollar price for pets or feeders since they do get a lot of attention. Proven breeders over 4 times (males) are sold for 50 cents more though along with females having healthy litters 8+ twice. Those come with a family tree and genetics that I know of.

Mostly when I need to get rid of an animal it's because I have more breeders than I need. I don't sell them younger usually.

I have left overs until the burms start hatching LOL. When you have 100 hungry little rat disposals its hard to keep up LOL.

    Re: Selling Feeders

Well I tried CL and only sold about 8 rats. Some people say that they can pay for the raising cost by selling left overs (by left overs I mean ones left from what the snakes did not eat). Thanks though.
