I don't have a suriname boa but I do have a male Guyana who is also a BCC.
Babies tend to be more gray but they usually brown out as they age. But if you get a good quality snake it won't be just brown. It will have pinks and purples.
You should have no trouble handling a male by yourself.
I had a BCI a few years ago who was satan in scales. The BCC that I have now is a total sweetheart and everything I read told me the opposite. That BCC were evil and BCI were angels. Temperment really depends on the snake.
If you're on the fence about getting a BCC, do it! They are so pretty. That's why there are no BCC morphs. Because you can't improve perfection.
