Acting Weird Before The Blizzard?
Did any of you, that live in the mid Atlantic area, that experienced the blizzard, notice your snakes acting weird the past couple of days? Almost all of my snakes were very restless and constantly on the move for the past couple of days. But today, they're all balled up like nothing ever happened.
I wonder if they noticed something was brewing?

There are actually a lot of instances of animals behaving oddly when a natural disaster is soon to occur. Much like the cats in nursing homes that can "sense the death" of people that live there. I wouldn't be surprised if snakes acted the same way.

I think it has something to do with the air pressure...

That's funny you mention that because mine was kind of acting that way the last couple of days too! Now that we have our 20 inches and it's over he's back in his hide. I'm just glad my power never went out! We have a lot of people in this area without power and they may be without power for days. Chopper would get mighty chilly after a while in that!

That's great news. Do you know if they had the Pittsburgh Reptile show today or was it cancels.

They definitely can notice the change in weather. Breeders notice they lock up more readily when a low pressure front (like storms usually have) come in.

Re: Acting Weird Before The Blizzard?
sadly I didn't get to see I was one of the few people that was allowed to be onthe road when they were told to stay home cause of being in the fire house. In the long run I spend the last 48 hours either knee deep in snow, taking phone calls or asleep in my bed. I heck I not even had time to try and dig out.. 1 reason still worn out and 2 I tried and broek the dange shovel and got no funds to replace it (ifi could of found in a store) ..
Was married to 4theSNAKElady (still wish we were)
