    Herp Video Blog?

So, since I have a really nice video camera on my phone, I was thinking of doing like a herp video blog or something.

Does anyone else have something like this that they would like to share? I really just have no idea what I would talk about. It is something that I am very interested in doing especially since I am getting into other species and I will be starting some breeding projects in the coming months.

Thank you in advance for anything you can contribute

    Re: Herp Video Blog?

I've thought about making snake videos. Just BPs though. We have a camcorder, and hardly ever use. My BF's made one video of my Lemon Pastel eating, but that's it.

I always come back to the same thing, don't know exactly what I would do or even talk about.

If you have some ideas, I could try them out and send some things to you.

    Re: Herp Video Blog?

Haha! Well, I have to feed my snakes today after class so I will see if I come up with anything clever enough to post on the internet, lol!

I guess feeding videos are kind of boring to me now. I already have one of Eero eating a mouse like, from a year ago. I feel that there is more to owning a snake then watching it eat. Sure its cool, but after the 800th time it gets a little monotonous.

Maybe I will do a feeding video today though and mess around with that. Hopefully everyone eats though....Donut has only eaten live for me :/

    Re: Herp Video Blog?

I've made a few random vids on youtube (mostly just my snakes eating though.) There are alot of people who do vlogs about their reptiles. Just to names a few: Ed Dupree, Justin Kobylka, Ralph Davis, and more.

Just throwing out thoughts, you could show beginner BP set ups. How much they cost, what you need to do, etc. Ralph Davis has one, but for me personally, I wouldn't keep a BP in a tank like the one he set up.

Most snake videos on youtube that I've seen are of breeders and rack systems.

Yeah. I actually just set up a ball python tank for my friend (she got one at the local show today) and now I realized that would have been a great opportunity to show people how to set up a ball python cheaply and properly. I think she spent just a bit more than $100 for the snake and the complete enclosure (and food for 2 months!)

Ah, the good deals you get when you only have one snake, lol.
