ACD's (Cattle Dogs) ROCK!!

These are my boys... Radar is 2 years old (blue heeler) & Kain is one year old (Red Heeler). I love them to death but boy are they a handful! I first got my love for the breed years ago when my dad brought a puppy to my uncles shop and called me to come get my dog lol. I had been wanting a dog and he knew of a farmer in the area that bred Australian Cattle Dogs. I walk in to see this tiny blue puppy with floppy ears cowering under a work bench. I was in love

I had him for quite a few years but had a bad car accident and ended up having to rehome all my animals. A few years ago I was back on my feet enough to get back to what I loved best. Reptiles and cattle dogs!! I got these two through a midwest Australian Cattle Dog rescue. I think the stresses of winter and cabin fever are getting to us all. We just cant wait until we can all go to parks, stores, and just get the heck out of the house again!! Here are my babies

what a beautiful pair!! Good job on going to cattle dog rescue, this breed can be too much for people and sadly end up there!!

I know. I still sometimes check their available dogs for adoption and there are still some that were there over a year ago that are still there. The woman I went through is amazing. She literally has a house full of ACD's at any given time. They check them all with livestock, dogs, cats, kids etc.. Then place them where they would do best at. When weather permits I take these guys everywhere with me. Even to work on the weekends. They get bored very easily. But I love them. Their intelligence and loyalty far outweighs their mischievous and hyper personalities.

great dogs! I have a 7year old blue heeler we got from a rescue she is a well behaved girl ! but not the right dog for every one it takes some work
