Large reptiles have a tendency to have bigger clutches. So a large snake could do 100 eggs. Sea turtles typically lay around 100 eggs.

when it comes to the zebra mussels in the great lakes its pretty much who you ask, cuz they have cleaned up the lakes clairity vastly plants and most animals are doing better since they have been intoduced and alot of native species are eatting them up like candy. they have hurt a couple of native animals. kind of a catch 22 with them they seem to piss people off with blocking of water pipes and clinging to boats more than anything.

They are a double edged sword but mostly a negative impact

Yes they can. It is rare, but it does happen. Mike Wilbanks had an albino lay 102 eggs. That is the largest that I have verifiably herd of.

Wow, well now I know.. That just seemed a little far fetched. Thats amazing. No wonder they were the big money makers in the 90's. I cant even fathom that big of a clutch.
