Put the probe down into the substrate. It will tell you the temp at the probe as well as what your humidity is. I would guess that your humidity is pretty low since it is a large looking tank and you are heating with a light. (that is very common)

If your humidity is low you can foil off the screen part of your tank you can also put a humid hide in their with damp spagnum moss since you have so much room. Also make sure you spray down the tank at least once a day.

Again I have to refer you to the care sheet as it is such a great source of info. This was my snake keeping bible so to speak when I first started.
yea i do need a new thermometer....but the humidity is fine its usually between 50-70% but thanx for all the help though :-)
