Black around his anus?
My new bp that i recently picked up from a show, has a little bit of a dark or infection type thing around the whole of his anus. Ill try and put some pics up in a bit. Any ideas?

Re: Black around his anus?
could be anything from some poo to dried blood or dried necrotic tissue from an infection.

I'd say if you suspect an infection schedule a vet visit.. and see for sure..

Yeah its hard to tell from just the description. Pictures might help. But if it is an infection it could be the nectrotic tissue. Does the snake seem sensitive to it? Does it smell like rotting flesh? (yeah it a weird question, but a sensible one)

I'm sure you meant to say that his cloaca has dark stuff around it... Post some pics and we might be able to help.
