I've never seen frozen ASFs for sale before. Is there a reason for this? For those who do feed ASFs do you only feed them live to ur snakes?

There are a few people including me that sell frozen asf's, but it isn't very popular.

1.) They take a lot of time to get to size, and that makes them much more expensive to the buyer then normal frozen rats.

2.) They aren't nearly as readily available as normal rats and mice.

2.) A lot of people that try ASF's do so because of a snake that doesn't want to eat... and in that case live is usually 100 times better.

3.) A lot of people that get into ASF's do it because they are so easy to breed in a residential situation... People looking to breed aren't exactly interested in buying frozen.

4.) 95% of the time a snake that will take a frozen / thawed ASF will also take a frozen / thawed normal rat.

5.) It just isn't really worth the effort to the seller because regular buyers are few and far between, and usually don't stay around long.

I usually only feed my collection live because it is 1,000 times easier. But I always keep a couple months of frozen in reserve, and most of my snakes will also take frozen thawed.

do you find that once you switch them to ASF's they won't go back to regular rats?
