    what is a normal boa???

I bought a nice boa that looks similar to a red tailed boa however the tail is a little darker and she is the same color and pattern over her whole body. what would she be considered....i know this is not a lot of help. but any ideas would be great.

Hard to know for sure without pictures, but most likely you have a normal columbian boa constrictor (BCI). They are often commonly called red-tailed boas, but technically this is incorrect. 'Real' red-tailed boas are BCC's, and they retain their deep red tail into adulthood. They are also normally bigger, cleaner, and have different shaped saddles.
