Re: my dream snake is getting closer...now do i have this right?
Most people seem to hate taking any chance at all but if I where you I would recommend replacing your two het males with one double het albino and pied male. I've seen those males very reasonably priced. Your chances of producing pieds or albinos the second generation would be the same (assuming that one male is a good breeder). But the next generation when you breed your albino X pied each would have a 50% chance of being het for the other. Hit that 25% chance that they are both het and your odds of producing albino pied go up from 1:16 per egg to 1:4 per egg and you skip a whole generation. Worst case you miss and are back to your 4 generation plan but you could also be somewhere in the middle with albino het pieds or pied het albinos to increase your odds to 1:4 in that last generation. If you can afford the few hundred for a double het male I think it’s worth the chance at shaving a generation (3 years?) off your project and quadrupling your odds for the albino pied.

If I read it correctly, you have a 100% het pair of Albinos and Pieds.
If you really wanted to, you could breed the Het Pied male to the Het Pied female, and Het Albino female, and get PH's as well as Pieds. Your Pied(s), assuming you got one, would be PH Albino. This method would work well if only one of your females was ready to go the first year too.

so did anyone get any place with this combo? i would like to start a small breeding project like this. i think the piebald and the albinos combined really make one of the coolest bps. so to be able to bring the two recessive traits out in one animal those traits need to be underlying(het.)?
