    First time BP isn't eating.

The temps are correct, there Is nothing wrong with the husbandry, I've had him for almost a year and I never had any problems feeding him. I feed him small rats every Friday. I'm not sure If this could be the cause, but today Is his feeding day and I saw him roaming around his cage. Usually that is normal, thinking he is on the prowl but then I saw a wet spot in the corner of the tank. He went to the bathroom. I heard you are NOT supposed to touch your snake at all when it is his feeding day, but I had to, It covered half the tank and I didn't want him sleeping in his own pee for 2 days. So I took him out to clean it out and replace the substrate with new paper towels. I then put him back in. Is he not eating because I touched him? I'm going to wait till midnight, I have the rat on top of enclosure so when he smells it, I'm hoping he'll get excited and ready to eat. If not, I'll wait tomorrow. He doesn't seem sick to me either. I don't see any mucus or hear whistling, his tummy is fine. Just normal like he is every other day.. I hope he isn't going through a fasting.

Just wait a few days and offer a meal again. Sometimes it seems that if they get distracted by something other than food they will lose interest...

I seriously doubt him not eating is related to you handeling him. If they miss a feed just wait til next feeding day and try again, if he went off feed, he will eventually eat just be patient.

I wouldn't worry about it. Dunno if you already fed him or not or how that went. Sometimes if you touch them before they eat they get a little spooked (you are a big scary monster after all). If he doesn't eat tonight, just try again next week. No big deal.

Do you think the rat could be the problem? I have thawed out the same rat maybe 3 times trying to get the poor guy to eat. Being extremely fragile as they are, the arm is almost falling out and there a tears on his tail and legs from the tweezers. When I wait till next Friday, should I use a different rat and throw out that rat?

I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea to refreeze and offer again. If your snake refuses, toss the rat and try again with a new one. Or try a f/t mouse. Or try a live mouse.
