    Re: Lazy males?

One of my best breeding male's is a 1300 gram pastel. No I'm not going to dispute Brian or any of the guys that say that when males get to fat they become lazy breeders they are right fat male's tend to be lazy breeders. However there is a difference between having an unhealthy overweight snake and just having a big ole male. I don't think there is any problem with have males breed at 1000+ in fact I find that most of my better breeder males do very well in that 1000-1200 gram range.

Over weight and just being a big ole boy are the differance..

I hear ya! So, it's just like people...you can have a 250 pound muscular person, or a 200 pound overweight person. The muscular person would more than likely have more energy and stamina even though they weigh more? That makes sense.

    Thanks!
