    Why do females cost more

Most likely a stupid question, but I am curious why female morphs cost more than the males?

They dont always cost more. When the newest co-dom comes out the males will be more at first. But after that I think its because you only need one male but everyone wants multiple females.

Re: Why do females cost more

It takes time for a female to get to breeding age (2+ years), the males can breed within 6 months or so, if they are up to the "job."

Re: Why do females cost more

"Common" Females like Pins. Spiders, Pastels Ect. are more because they produce the eggs and you can use them to make combos. And Rare snakes it will cost more to get a male like a Bannana, Champagne, Lavenders Ect. basically anything new thats in the 5 digits will cost more to get a male, because they can produce more than a female in one season. Hope this helps!

Re: Why do females cost more

because you only need one male to breed several females, but a female can only lay one clutch.

Re: Why do females cost more

Because it takes longer to get a female up to weight, so there's less of a supply and a larger demand. Most breeders who are building their collections are keeping all the morph females that they produce for future project, again - reducing the supply.
