I misted him and he just got amped and went all over he place. well the guy said he ate 15 meal worms this morning and to try some more later i have and he wont eat. Re: new beardie owner?

He probably needs to settle in. Meal worms should be given more as an occasional treat as the are very high in fat. Crickets and greens should be his daily diet. He is probably sitting under the heat to help digest the worms which are harder to digest due to fat. The poop from worms also smells especially bad. They move when they feel like it so dont be surprised if he just chills alot. I would definately try to get him on crickets, its like feeding candy to a kid all the time and then trying to get him to eat real food. Its not good for him and may be difficult to get him to eat his veggies and crickets. I would also suggest getting some herpvite vitamin powder from a petstore or online to supplement him with more protien and other vitamins. If he has been only eating mealworms he is probably lacking some good nutrition. Dump a little in a plastic bag and then throw his insects in there and coat them brfore feeding.

Best of luck with him, they are one of the best reptile pets and do enjoy comming out to visit.

with bearded dragons you dont need to mist them that will just stress them out, they get there water from greens. Also keep in mind there a desert animal so they will stand under there heat lamp till they get too hot then they will cool off then go right back under there heat lamp. depending on how old the beardie is meal worms arnt the best what we (me and my wife) feed them greens every morning give them crickets maybe twice a day depending on how old they are. super worms maybe 2x a week. My wife and I own i wanna say 40 bearded dragons and all of ours are 100% healthy.
