    Sell Me On Spiders

I've been contacted by a local breeder saying he has some Spiders in stock and it peaked my curiosity. He's willing to let one go for $275 for a male or $300 for a male. These are Canadian prices keep in mind. My question is simply, how common are Spiders these days? I currently have two regulars and would like something that doesn't kill the bank but at the same time stands out from my others.

They are a pretty common morph in my opinion.

Well, depending on the gender of your normals, you could breed a spider to a normal and theoretically get, 2 spiders, and 2 normals out of every 4 eggs. They do make some awesome combos. If you plan on breeding ever, those are some pretty good reasons to get one..

Ok I appreciate you input. I might just have to throw my hat into the boa ring and have a go with one of them.

Spiders are awesome but I think those prices might be a bit high, although I am not familiar with the canadian market. I paid $200 USD for my female spider and she is a great example of a spider.

There are a lot of other really cool looking morphs that are pretty affordable. Pastels, pins, mojaves are all around the same price.

Not up here they aren't. Local pet stores have Mojaves between $650 and $750. An actual breeder about an hour away sells Albino's for $600-800. Just like anything else that requires any importing or time, it's almost double or triple the price up here. I hate Canada sometimes haha

Pet stores are always going to have higher prices. If you buy from a breeder or at a show, you can always get a lower price. I always try and negotiate a lower price.

That albino pricing from a breeder seems right online with what is for sale here in the US.

That's a pretty normal price for here in Canada. For the females it's actually pretty good, but I've seen males for $250. Don't hate Canada... just think, what you breed can be sold for that much more also. It works out.

Not sure why people are commenting on the price when they aren't familiar with the Canadian market.
