Re: Vanilla?
I am not big into Vanillas, but I did get a great looking female Pastel Vanilla from Maki a few years ago. She is a great eater, and nearing the magic 1500 grams. I am going to do Sulfur Mojave x Pastel Vanilla, and try to hit on the Vanilla Het Black Eyed Lucy cross, which is pretty sweet.

We've got an '08 male we're breeding this season. He's locked up with his first girl as I type this. Looks like he's going to be a stud.

Probably just normals and Pastels this year. My other morph females are tied up with other projects. I wish I had a Fire female ready for him. I really like that combo.

Re: Vanilla?
While we're discussing about vanillas then I would like to know how you tell it apart from a normal? I'm having a hard time telling them apart.

Re: Vanilla?
co-dom belly, pretty 'bright' animal next to it's normal siblings. Like many co-doms the difference is clearer "in the flesh" once you've seen a few inperson it's easy (like yellowbelly and fire) to spot. Again like with all co-dom genes there are good ones and bad ones too.

I don't have any problems by telling apart an Yellowbelly or Fire - they're easy to differentiate from a normal.
I've seen a couple of them in flesh but they don't do the trick for me. I wouldn't mind buying a Super Vanilla - they look fantastic.

Re: Vanilla?
super vanillas are lovely, and to be honest all the justification you need to go down the vanilla route IMO!
To be honest i've yet to see a vanilla cross that doesn't impress, for such a subtle gene it can have massive effects in a combo.

Re: Vanilla?
We have a Black Pastel Vanilla male that we are growing up so hopefully we can plug him into some Cinnamon females and some Vanilla females.
