I've tried the workout, its pretty hard. but you will get results.
go and check out some of the videos posted on youtube from people that have done it.
the thing is , most of them don't mention anything about your diet.
I think that is more important than the workout itself, if you really want to get cut.
I got the videos from a friend and tried the workout for a while but wasn't seeing the result like the guys on tv( I didn't buy the supplements they were pushing) , then I saw a guy on youtube talking about what he eats. I've started his low fat , high protein diet to see if it makes more of a difference.
