Its genetic in the way that it can be passed to babies just like any pattern can, but not all the babies would look like that so it is not genetic in the sense that it can be replicated consistantly with every breeding and every baby (if 2 "banded" were bred together)
I think the only truly banded morphs are the womaballs and tiger (desert x enchi) IMO
