Question about UTH and attaching them to tubs.

I have two rubbermaid tubs that I am setting up, one for a baby ball python and one for an adult female Kenyan Sand boa. I am going to be using Fluker's Heat pads, as that is what i have access to. These ones are not the self sticking kind, so I am wondering what I can use to attach them? Duct tape?

Another question I have is that I want to put bungee cords around the tubs as extra security. One tub is a latching one so it is pretty secure, but the other is not. I couldn't find a latching one in that size. Can I put bunjee cords across the underside of the heatpads? Or is that a bad idea? If it is I was thinking I could thread a tie wrap through a hole in lid and bin and secure it that way. I tried binder clips, and I don't know if I would trust that.

Re: Question about UTH and attaching them to tubs.

Personally I would not stick the UTH to the tub because it makes cleaning the tub a pain. I have always taped mine (paper backed duct tape) to the surface the tub will be sitting on. That way when I take the tub to the washroom for cleaning, I dont have to deal with the UTH. This method also allows you to swap the tub without having to reattach the UTH.

As far as bungie chords go, I would instead use black office clips around the perimeter of the tub / lid.

I've used the the foil tape on my UTH with great success. In other words, stick the tape on the sticky part of the UTH that way you can move the UTH from tub to tub if you need to switch tubs.

There is no sticky part on this UTH, it is not the self sticking kind.
