I'm kind of sympathetic to the store on this one since sometimes we run out of a size at my work and I'm on the receiving end of this kind of anger. I was just about to say, at 5 months they should be eating at least one adult mouse weekly... my guys who are 8 months old eat 2-3 adults weekly, so I'm sure yours could handle 1-2. Do you know how much he weighs?
Oh, and I wouldn't bother getting him more food tomorrow - just wait until your next scheduled feeding, and he'll be all the more happy to take his first adult mouse.
