Re: My snake Finally ate Frozen! (and how do I keep her going)

Heres a story that I think will brighten your spirits.

My snakes all hated frozen. So I had to buy live all the time it was really annoying. I would try f/t and it never worked. I tried everything. Feeding in a separate bin, in the dark, you name it I tried it! So a year went by and I figured hey, another try wouldn't hurt. BAM!! Hit it just as hard as a live one. A big thing I think that helps is once they grab it tug and make some kind of movement to create panic to further feeding experience more believable. Now they eat it f/t every time!!! I think just getting them on a nice regular feeding schedule accompanied with good husbandry and then just trowing a f/t in the mix out of no where and you won't have a problem...ever. I'm going with this method just because of how stubborn my snakes were, and how easy they switched over.

If I were you and I'm sure some might disagree but I think that feeding a live one the next couple of times would be a good idea, and then going with thawed completely. Thats just me, I'm crazy...
