    Shedding issues.

I received a male pastel last week and he was "in blue" when they shipped him. Last night he was starting to shed and he knocked over his water and the shed started to come off in pieces. Compiled with the stress of shipping, he is having a terrible shedding process. When I pulled out the paper towels there were three little drops of blood. I have checked the snake and have had no luck locating the wound. He is housed in plastic bin and there are no edges that he could have cut himself on.
I haven't seen anymore blood. Should I be concerned? Also, I plan on putting him in a damp pillowcase tonight to help with the shedding. Do you think this would be too stressful on him being so soon after his arrival?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Shedding issues.

I would go ahead and help with the shed and then just leave him alone for a week to settle down. The little drops of blood may have come from the skin coming loose around the vent. This is pretty normal unless it keeps bleeding...

Thank you for the quick response. I will leave him alone after his shed is complete. I usually give them about a week and half-two weeks to settle.

    Thanks again!
