Feeding schedule of building females
I've read that females with follicles building should be fed smaller meals. Yet I'm having no luck finding recommended size and frequency. My girl is just shy of 1700 grams empty and keeping to the cool side laying inverted. She just recently shed during which she was laying over the heat. Before then she was always wrapped around her water bowl. No glowing yet.
Thanks
Xavier

I feed one small rat a week until they refuse them. I do the same for males as well.

Re: Feeding schedule of building females
I'm in a similar boat. Depends on the size of the female but 1 small to medium rat per week until they stop feeding. No feeding when they are in shed because I'd rather have a boy in there
Good luck!

Re: Feeding schedule of building females
I was feeding a 3000 gram female 1 rat weanling every 3-4 days between ovulation and pre lay shed. She stopped feeding 3 days before shed, and I expect her to not want to feed for the period before she lays. I noticed if I offered anything larger than a weanling she wouldn't accept. As far as glowing, I haven't noticed anything on my female, maybe I missed it. I have a post with some pics during these times that might help you judge the sizes a little better.
