    Welcome to the forums. They have a few things that will dilute the hold of duct tape. Water will slowly, neosporin in a bowl will do it rather quickly, olive oil is probably faster, but I wouldn't of used mineral oil. I use that stuff to clean oil off parts for cars & bikes. As long as the snake doesn't get sick or anything though, I wouldn't worry about it.
