    1st shed question

    Im a newbie with a normal bp not sure of the sex . Im going thruogh the 1st shed I noticed his eyes starting to dull last sunday. Its friday now and that is feeding day ,2nd sence I got him, the books say dont feed him till after his shed. I think the people who wrote the book know more than me, but I KNOW you guys & gals do, so please tell me what you think. If I dont feed till after is the day after he is done ok? (I keep call it him because I have 1 girl freind and 2 female dogs Im just evening the playing field) thank you and maybe Ill meet some of you at the White Planes herp show on 1/24

    Make sure you bump your humidity to 60-70% for a nice shed.

    You can choose to feed at this stage or wait until after, the choice is yours. Some snakes will eat durning shed and others will not.

    ditto to Spainard! Mine eat no matter what!! Little pigs...lol. But there are plenty that do not and that is ok too. You can offer and if he doesnt take it then you will know which one you have. Just remember if you offer live they sometimes do not see as well as they would normally. So I would be sure to prekill live for them.

    Individual snakes differ, it's not expressly bad to feed during shed, some snakes will simply refuse during shed. Others don't care. I would try to feed it, it will be obvious if is interested or not.
