    Over abundance of rats!

I guess its not a bad thing!

I was wondering what are the best ways of going about selling ASFs. Craigslist, here, local shows?

Any suggestions or share your own experiences with selling them.

Also I thought about just humanly euthanizing some and freezing them for later. Thoughts? Just not sure if my live ASF feeders would take f/t.

    Re: Over abundance of rats!

I usually sell our excess on Craigslist. There's a lot of snake keepers who would love to get their hands on them but don't know how or where. A lot of people have started their colonies from my extras. If you can find someone selling them, you can get a gauge for what they're worth in your area. In CO they're $2-$5 each, depending on size and sex and who you get them from.

Craigslist, reptile store or see if there are any other reptile owners near you that would want them. Your location says Chicago suburbs so I can't imagine there wouldn't be a bunch of people with reptiles around you.

Thanks everyone! I'll try Craigslist and see how it goes. There's the Scott Smith All Animal Expo near by but I don't want to get a table just to sell 20 rats.

Oh, and what is the best way to word it so I'm in compliance with the rules. Sell them as "feeders"?
