Re: The Morphs
In general
Fact one you will lose money, it will take you a few years to break even and then make a profit so you can either afford to take the dive or not.
Fact two not many people will be willing to enter a contract with someone who is underage therefore it will affect your ability to sell.
Fact three if you cannot take constructive criticism and easily snap at people, you will have a hard time conducting business successfully, people will not conduct business with someone who has a temper tantrum for no reason.
.........................
Now when it come to your "plans" I am curious, what will your initial investment be? What is your business plan?

$100 in a week isnt much, but how is this the way you got into reptiles? The Lemonade stand profits for reptile pets? Minimum wage jobs would produce far more money for your time than the lemonade stand... Anyway, turning a profit on BP's from everything everyone on here has reported takes a while.
How much can you put in? If it's just from Lemonade stands then you likely wont be able to afford a large base of breeders in any morph at $100 a week.
Also if you are only 13 not many would be willing to enter into non-binding agreements (as stated before) for such large purchases. Are you intending to sell locally?
Also are you going to hire an accountant or do you know how to fill out self employment taxes for such things(equipment, expenses, etc)? (This also makes me curious how all of you do the taxes part... Hobby loss deductions so you dont have taxable hobby income?)
As a business person you will not be able to let your temper take over otherwise you'll get very little to no repeat business.

Re: The Morphs
There is alot to breeding these animals man. Like everyone has said be prepared to not turn a profit for years. I am new to the breeding scene but it's not about the money it's a hobby for me.
Maybe you should start off with a normal and a pastel. You wont have much money into it that way and it will get you started. You never know what will happen. You may or may not like breeding, you may or may not have any luck. Dont look at it as a money maker just yet you have a long road ahead of you.

Re: The Morphs
Buy yourself a pair of Pastels and a pair of Mojaves or YBs. Get a couple of adult normal females too.
If it was me, and I was starting over, I would do this: STAY SMALL. Rat bills add up quickly. I would buy animals in simple recessive trios, Ghost trio, Albino trio and Axanthic trio. I would get myself a Spider female or two, Super Pastel female or two, and a nice double Co Dom male, and go from there.

Re: The Morphs
Here are my thoughts:
You are 13. You have a long life ahead of you.
People here seem to have stressed that at that age you will have a hard time establishing customers. Maybe maybe not.
spend the next five to 10 years learning everything you can about ball pythons. Their home land habitat, breeding, husbandry, etc. etc.
Everything you can find out and learn. REMEMBER: KNOWLEDGE IS KING!
Get yourself a male and a female that YOU like and can afford. Don't wory about what others like or what is "hot" in the market today. It will be two to three years before you can start breeding.
If your successful in getting a clutch hatched, try selling them on craig list, to your freinds, or to pet shops. Don't try or worry about getting top dollar.
You are doing it for experience. REMEMBER: KNOWLEDGE IS KING!
Try to find a professional and successful breader in your area. Offer to work there after school or week ends for free to LEARN all you can. even if it is just cleaning the place up. REMEMBER: KNOWLEDGE IS KING!
Continue your education after high school.
Good luck, my friend.
Oh and BTW, learn to control that temper. You are only 13.
Hell, I have socks older than you.
1.0 pastel 100% Het Orange Hypo
1.0 spider
1.2 Butter
0.1 super pastel
0.1 black back pastel
0.1 lemon pastel
1.2 FIRE
0.1 PINSTRIPE

That is only state based. In the state of Michigan hobbies do not neet any permits and or tax credits for anything unless you are registered as a business and filled out tax forms. You need to check your state laws and city ones as well as it is different in each state when it comes to selling live animals as a hobby and not a business.

What did you get mad about?
You're the one who in your first post asked:
What do you think the most profitable morph is. In need to buy the cages and incubator too. I want to start breeding but i dont think normals have any money in them. and then you say:

You do want to make money, or at least break even. All the advice given is letting you know that you're not going likely break even for YEARS. With that in mind, just buy the morphs that you want to work with, that you personally like, and don't worry about its value.
