Most of mine do have hides, but a few don't... like Nerissa (large female) who only sits on TOP of hides, or pushes them around the tub.She's also in a smaller tub than my other large girl, since the 41qt seemed to stress her out - so now she's in a 32qt with no hide & extra substrate (newspaper). But if I can fit a hide in their tubs I usually offer one, since the majority of BPs enjoy the security.
